Throughout my playing career in BC Midget, the CJFL, and with two USports programs (Bishop’s and UBC), I gained valuable experience and a deep understanding of the recruiting process—covering academics, different university locations, finances, transfer rules, and eligibility. As someone who wasn’t a star player or elite athlete, I earned my opportunities through versatility, strong football IQ, and consistent availability. By learning and being available to play multiple positions, I created chances that otherwise wouldn’t have been there, such as starting at Outside Linebacker in the 2017 Hardy Cup Championship.

Similar to my playing career, versatility has been a defining theme in my coaching journey. After beginning my career in 2019 as the Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach at Seaquam Secondary I was hired by Coach Thomas Ford to be the Linebackers Coach at Simon Fraser University. I later transitioned to coaching Running Backs, a brand new position to me, and with the help of football coaching legend Dan Dorazio, did so until the end of the 2021 Season. I returned to Seaquam in 2022, again as the DC & LB Coach. In 3 seasons at Seaquam we appeared in the playoffs each year and had 10 players advance to University Football. In 2024, I joined the Langley Rams (CJFL), as the DB Coach. That year we led the league in completion percentage allowed (49.6%), yards per attempt (6.4), tied for first in interceptions (21), and produced the CJFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. Continuing the emphasis on Player advancement, 3 players progressed to USports football programs. Throughout my playing and coaching career I have learned to be versatile and energetic about all new opportunities.
